I grew up in New Jersey and one of my favorite things was going to the local Italian bakery. My favorite cookies were the leaf cookies. Well, a few weeks ago my wife and I were at the PGA/Omni Resort’s weekend market and we saw THE NY ITALIAN TEXAN BAKE SHOP & CANNOLI BAR stand, what a blessing. Everything we tasted was the real deal, authentic Italian baked goods. I placed an order for leaf cookies the other day and just picked them up, they’re excellent, I can’t stop eating them! I HIGHLY recommend this great Italian bake shop, they’re the real deal, a great asset to the Dallas area!
I grew up in Elmont, Long Island. I used to LOVE the Italian rainbow cookies from our neighborhood bakery called Sapienza. I couldn’t find them anywhere in Dallas, but then I met Joanna and Michael. She makes the best… and I do mean THE BEST cookies ever. So grateful to have met them! Try her cookies! They’re flavorful and soft with the absolute perfect texture! You won’t be disappointed!
Being an Italian from the Northeast, it’s very difficult to find really good Italian cookies in DFW. And while my family cooked extensively (and I learned all of those recipes), we never really baked and instead went to bakeries for our holiday needs. So when I had that holiday craving, I found The NY Italian Texan Bake Shop.
When you think about cookies, there are ones that are Amateur Tier, ones that are Bakery Tier, and ones that are Professional Tier. Hands down, Joanna blows all of those away and bakes “Italian Nonna” Tier (IYKYK) cookies, better than anything I’ve ever had in my life.
They were wrapped beautifully, they looked amazing, they tasted heavenly… they were everything that I wanted and more. Joanna was a pleasure to work with, figuring out exactly how much would be best for my Christmas needs. She was kind, courteous, and the price is more than reasonable.
She made this holiday really special for me, and the love she put into her cookies brought back wonderful memories of my childhood. Bless yourself and your family by doing business with Joanna, but beware because now I don’t want cookies from anywhere else. They are really that good.
